Winter tyres on a 2WD are generally OK
4WD if you need to deal with hills
4WD go fast but don’t slow you down – in fact they can be worse
M+S tyres are not a patch on Snowflakes
8mm when new, 4/5mm when used
1.6mm is legal requirement
Winter tyres are not good in summer so change them!
